We're almost at the start of our 12th week for the baby. It will be nice to be done with the first trimester, so Annie can hopefully stop feeling sick to her stomach. I also have a question (or 2), which you can not answer if you don't want to. Did you guys choose to do the genetic testing for any potential problems? That one was the toughest choice for me. Or what about the swine flue vaccine? They recommend you get it, but who knows what it does. Did Annie get it?

We decided against the genetic testing. There's really nothing in our family histories that leads us to believe there should be any issues, so hopefully that will be the case.
Annie did get both flu vaccines. We don't buy into all the doom and gloom surrounding vaccines, plus with Annie's job working with kids, our doctor thought it would be smart to get vaccinated. They said there was no chance the shots would harm the baby but H1N1 can be a serious risk if a pregnant woman contracts it.
For what it's worth, she got it done a month ago and she didn't get any flu-like symptoms or anything and she hasn't even gotten a cold all season, even though a lot of her students did get H1N1 or the flu.
