SO MUCH SNOW!!!! AAAAHHHH!!!! Melt!!! Melt already!!! It is supposed to keep on snowing right through tomorrow afternoon. We might get up to 2 feet. Do you know what that means?? It means there are going to be gigantic snow mountains the size of Mt. Everest in my parking lot taking up much need spaces. Therefore, I am not moving my car for a week. ( Read more... )

We never did get the snow here in Illinois that they were calling for two days ago. It rained a lot -- well, light rain for a long time, enough to make my leaky roof complain for many many hours -- but no snow. I've only seen any snow last Friday, the day after Thanksgiving; there were snow flurries blowing by me sitting in a duck blind out in Grundy County, and a little bit actually accumulated on my car that day. But it hasn't felt very wintry out here yet.

Come to Boston. We have enough winter to go around.

I've never been to Boston. I've never been anywhere else in Massachusetts either, or anywhere northeast of New York City (except Montréal and Québec).

Right now my street isn't very drivable so it looks like I'll be snowbound for awhile. I was just telling my roommate that I wished I had a sled too. Great to have another day off, but unfortunately there goes a day's pay.

Sad about the show likely getting cancelled, I was looking forward to seeing both you and Jayne perform. :-(

My teacher already called me and said we weren't going tomorrow. She said rather than wait for them to cancel tomorrow she is just deciding now that we aren't going. It's probably being cancelled anyway. Amira (the lady running it) said if it is still snowing at 10:00 am that it is cancelled. And it's supposed snow until tomorrow night, so therefore, I am pajama bound all weekend. I'm bummed though. I was looking forward to the show and performing with Jayne. I never realized what a small world the bellydance community is, but there is another woman that is supposed to perform tomorrow that was in a play I was in a few years ago. But she quit after only a week of rehearsals. I don't blame her. That play sucked. And one of the girls performing with my group is someone I went to high school and knew since I was like 7 or 8 years old from our after school daycare program. Now she is a tribal bellydance diva! ha ha!

Next Sunday night. Dec. 14. 10:00 pm. It's just a 5 minute performance, just so they can decide if I suck or not.

Oooh, sounds yucchy. I remember the slushy winters in Queens I used to endure (tho I miss the fresh snow). In fact, let me check out my window right now . . .oh yeah, it doesn't snow in LA! I remember now! I've been suddenly eating more lately too - A little bear logic is good, but remember - you're a star! Hang in there T!

Oh sure, just flaunt that fabulous LA weather of yours. Don't worry, I'll be there soon enough. And then when it is snowing here in Boston I can call my mom up and say "I'm going to the beach!" ha ha!!

The snow is a bit slushy at the moment because it mixed with rain for a bit. But now it has changed back to snow and it's going to stay all snow until tomorrow night. I will take pictures so you can see what your missing. ;o)

There are definitely fun things about snow. Just not shoveling it, and driving in it, and getting it in your boots, and slipping on ice and landing on your ass.
