Hello hello! Ooh I'm definitely interested in advertising as well, creative advertising especially. Some commercials definitely deserve to be considered art.
I went to a workshop once on the technical aspects of filmmaking and how to properly operate a camera and terminology and what have you, and I was SO confused. It was really interesting, but I'm not a tech-y kind of person at all and that stuff just flies right over my head :(
Yes! I'm in love with advertising. But I can't decide between that and graphic design. D'oh.
Hahaha, it's okay! There's someone in my TV Production class who is only a communications major. It's interesting. You definitely have to be able to grasp the technical stuff, but on the other hand I'm just horrid at thinking things up and solving the problems. I can operate the camera if you tell me where to aim, but I can't figure out where it should go. Haha.
Ah! I love the Fall! Tarsem is such a visual mastermind! I've loved him since The Cell. I could watch either film on mute and still get as much out of it as any other movie.
O.O I'm shocked! Before you see any other movie you have to see The Cell. Vincent D'onofrio's acting is so chilling and the dream world where the action happens is too much. It's just amazing! So worth it!

I know what you mean about watching it on mute, though. The visuals in it are fantastic. <3
