[Water is dripped on the pages of the journal, soaking the paper.  The journal catches an image of a blonde woman, soaked, leaning over the book.  She's clearly terrified.]

E-Excuse me?  Hello?  Can anyone hear me?  [She doesn't know what to say, she doesn't know what to do, and she doesn't know where she is.  All she knows is that she needs help,

Hey, where are you? Are there any landmarks or buildings nearby?

[There's a long moment of silence; she's really shaken up right now, and didn't really expect anyone to answer.]

I'm... I'm near a lake, but I can't... I can't see any buildings.

A lake? [Wasn't there one on that map she was given?] Hang on, I'll try to be out there in a bit.

[Alice isn't sure what to say, whether to give some sort of acknowledgment or thanks, and she doesn't like this. Her mind was still in a haze, still bothered by the darkness that had touched her. She shakes her head.]

Do you... Do you know where I am? I mean, we are? [This wasn't Cauldron Lake. She knew that much, just by glancing behind her. It lacked the expansive green-blue water and the towering mountains. She was nowhere she recognized, and maybe this was Alan's doing, maybe Alan sent her somewhere safe.]

[Worried for this terrified woman, the bard decides to speak with her.]

Miss, where are you? Are you near a river? [If she was near the river, then she wasn't too far from his present location. However, if she was at the lake, it may take him awhile to reach there.]

Are you still there?

I'm... I'm here. [she's so shook up that she almost doesn't trust the voices that are coming from this... this book. It's all so absurd, and she can't help but wonder if the darkness is causing all of this.]

It's... It's a lake. I'm near a lake.

[He almost cursed his luck right now. The woman was a few yards off, and judging by the desperate tone of her voice, she was in pain too.]

Did you fall into the lake, miss?

[If she listens closely, she could hear him roaming through the reed and bush now.]

[there's a moment of listening before she shakes her head, despite the fact that he probably couldn't see it.]

No... Maybe... [there's a pause, and there's a hitch in her breathing.] I-I woke up under the water.

[Sapph's still not great at using the journal - at all - but a post like that is a bit hard to miss.]

Wh-what? Are ya okay, miss?! Th...uh, is this gettin' through?

[There are some noises of someone jabbing at the pages a bit.]

I--[what is she supposed to say? she pushes her hair back, and picks up the journal, staring down at the pages. It's so hard for her to keep calm.]--I can hear you. I'm... I'm fine, j-just... [she presses her fingers against her eyes to keep from crying]

[Terrified? That...makes sense. And as wet as she is, she probably fell into a river or something.]

[she licks her lips, and shakes her head]

Y-You don't have to do that. [this girl sounded... young, and Alice was already embarrassed, terrified, and just plain confused. She didn't think someone else needed to see her like this.] But thank you for the offer. I... There's someone else coming.
