Huh. The recent TV adaptation of Sherlock Holmes really is good. I just caught the first (two-hour pilot?) episode on ShowCase last night, and I have to say: I was rather impressed. Although I haven't seen or read much Sherlock Holmes before--so I have little to compare against--the show does seem to be it's own thing. (Okay, so I did read at ( Read more... )

Yep, Moffat was one of the key writers for Sherlock, and he's known for writing most of the creepy episodes of Doctor Who from seasons 1-4 (think "Blink"). He's the head writer for the 11th Doctor now (season 5).

Steven Moffat is very, very good at what he does. (Fun fact: Matt Smith (11th Doctor) got recruited after his failed audition for the role of Sherlock Holmes. Go figure.)

As for the "other reasons", why yes, Holmes and Watson are very, very gay for each other's brains. haha The fangirls doth approve.

And now you should watch the rest of Sherlock. It's only three episodes long. Episode 3 is just as good, if not better than episode 1 too, just so you know.
