Ichigo was returning from yet another trip to the pet store. The two kittens ate a lot, and Natsuo didn’t seem to care too much about keeping food around. He was always rolling around with them. Ichigo seriously wondered why the kid didn’t have more friends with all the people in this world. Pumpkin was sitting, or rather, clinging to his shoulder, as it was accustomed to, purring happily.

“I should take Mochi outside… maybe she’d like the fresh air…”

Renji was closing up on the hotel. He didn't stop running though even though he was close to it. He could feel Ichigo's spiritual pressure grow larger as he came closer to it. He grinned. "Bastard.. you think you can avoid me.." He grumbled as he continued running. "Guess again!"

Avoiding wasn’t the right term. It was more like ‘babysitting a 12 year old cat boy who liked to follow him like a lost kitten’. Plus the responsibility of keeping two actual cats quite healthy. So, in a few words, Ichigo was busy. These deaths didn’t help, keeping him on edge most of the time now. Every new announcement made him wonder when it would be his time, or even Natsuo’s time. Suffice to say, he was filling the role of ‘big brother’ quite well.

Renji stopped at the hotel door and ran in like an idiot. Several people stared at him and he stopped and scratched his head. "Where the hell is his room?" He asked himself aloud. He grumbled. "OI! ICHIGO!" He yelled as he walked around in the lobby. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?"
