Kanda woke up frowning, not that this wasn't usual, but waking up with a stiff back was. His bed wasn't nearly that uncomfortable, and wasn't he in Edo anyway? This thought caused the frown to deepen. Yes, he'd just arrived in Edo and he was just about to join the fight. He didn't remember being hit or anything so, where was he now? Was this some trick of the Earl's?
Finding out required the swordsman to open his eyes, which he did slowly. All he saw in front of him was wood planking because he was laying on a bench, facing toward it's back. He found this slightly annoying and extremely unhelpful so he sat up; dislodging something from his lap and causing it to fall down the behind the bench. Kanda frowned again, what the hell was that?
He laid back down so he could reach under the bench to grab, what he found, was a small device. One he hadn't been carrying before. He pulled it up to examine it, remaining on his stomach on the bench. After punching a few buttons he found it to be some sort of communications device. He quickly punched in a message hoping maybe someone who knew what it was would respond. Hopefully they could tell him how to get back to where he was so he could finish his mission. He highly doubted that damn rabbit and the beansprout could handle anything on their own. So the quicker he got back the better.
He sat up again glancing around what he found was a square bustling with people. And then realized something was missing. Something very important. He stood quickly and began searching around the bench, scowling deeply. Someone had taken Mugen and if he found out who it was they were going to die. Slowly and painfully.
He was cursing under his breath and turned ready to grab the nearest person and begin questioning them. No one touched his Mugen.
