That would be fabulous! I wonder if there have been many instances of different parties running on one ticket. Either way, I like how a respected Republican like McCain wants to run against Bush.
Somewhere I read the last time was Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson, back in 1864. But I think this would be an excellent way to be a "uniter" as Bush had claimed to be. McCain would also deflect some of the charges that Kerry is too liberal and would get us Arizona!
I agree that would have been curtains for Bush, but sadly apparently Kerry asked him last week and McCain said no.
BTW, I don't know when you joined episcopal but there is at least one person who may make a negative comment about your last post. I have steered away from the whole Robinson/gay rights issue just because it always gets him going, although I think most people in the community are happy about the developments this year, or are at least mature enough to discuss it like adults.
Ah yes, I did think about that so I've attached a little bit of a disclaimer on the post. I joined maybe 2-3 months ago, and do remember hearing something about previous flamewars and such.
As far as VP goes, I've heard rumors regarding just about every member of the democratic party... I would love to see Howard Dean as the VP candidate but that's a longshot.
