ohmygod guys! i just beat sorceress adel and all them other crappy sorceresses and now im at ultimecias castle! YAY! is this the final battle? also do you know where you can go in there to turn off the restrictions on magic and stuff?

Its the last area of the game, yes. There's quite a few fights before you unlock the last part of the castle and fight Ultimecia though. Its a fun place, and the final battle is great! Have you not seen the FF8 ending fmv yet then? It's really good, probably my favourite FF final fmv!
