world peace, an impossibility. thefordprefect October 3 2005, 13:29:49 UTC
if the world was at peace.
there would be no music.
no poetry.
no fiction.
no inspiration.

for pain and strife is what inspires great things, and a calm inspires nothing.

if everything was right in your world, would you need a guitar, would you need Amy, would you need comedy central, or heroin? Not to say you use heroin, its just an example.

not saying world peace is abad idea. but with every door that opens, you know something closes.

just some thoughts.

world peace in the sense of individual peace throughout the world, no--there's no fun in life without a bit of shit in your face before a good thing.

world peace in the sense of national and political ceasing of wars and petty disagreements between governments. ancient rivalries and hates, then yes.

wars are unnecessary man-made boredom-events. totally irrelevant to anything that we could possibly need.

maybe i should say...international peace??

cancer, aids, and heart disease takes care of the population control.

...and leprosy ;)

a valid point(s)

the post just made me think.

like in Big Fish when the famous poet goes to spectre, and loses his creative genius.

roses are red
violets are blue
spectre is really great

or mabye i'm a cynical leper.
