Well, I don't think he's really Maeglin since the Maeglin we all know and love was a product of Eol and Aredhel, while this is you and Aredhel. Maybe it's like, Maeglin 2.0. The bug that caused the destruction of Gondolin has since been fixed and he's ready for a life in society now.
