It was in Amanda's nature to be direct, a trait that Spencer could admire at any time, other than when he was placed in a situation that catered to his awkwardness, his discomfort and lingering inability to respond like the adult male he was and not as a young boy would, so he expected that she'd continue to be just as blunt and as bold as always, and even though the smile that appeared came naturally enough, given what she was telling him, and he did believe that she truly would never hurt him, not unless he gave her a reason to, which he wouldn't do, not intentionally, it took everything that Reid had, not to bolt when Amanda asked if he was attracted to her. Even when, he could tell by the way it was posed, that she assumed that already. The reason? Because it meant he would have to answer ( ... )

She said nothing as she watched the emotions play on Reid's face for the short moments before he spoke. She found it remarkable every time, every time she asked him something or posed a question he didn't immediately know the answer too, the way his thoughts showed on his face yet were so hard to read for the most part. Especially since he'd be required to remain with her at all times, which also meant that he would have to keep her with him at the hotel during his stay, if he was able to manage to convince the doctor to allow Adam/Amanda several days leave. Reid already knew that Amanda was an incredibly bold woman, who didn't hide what she felt or thought, or hold back by resisting her more primal urges, and though he would be lying if he said that he didn't find it enticing, he also feared that side of her, knowing that it would completely overwhelm him if he was faced with it ( ... )

"Really?" she asked softly "Perhaps that's what makes you so special. That and your ever so sexy brain" she smiled. Cautiously she asked "Would you freak out if I were to tell you all that I can think of doing is kissing you?" she asked as she watched him lick his lips ( ... )
