The hallway was nearly empty when Riley slipped out of his potions classroom. He'd told Snape that he needed to run errands for Professor Sprout, and he'd believed every word of it!
There were definitely understated perks to being a prefect at Hogwarts.
"Um, your welcome?" Riley answered, glancing down on the familiar sight of his girl, and the unfamiliar one of her books strewn everywhere. Without being asked, he bent to help.
"What?" Angie was paying attention to who was talking until she saw who it was.
"Oh, Riley. Sorry." She looked distracted as she picked up the last of the books and standing to get up.
"Not really. Just some stupid first year who doesn't know how to walk." Sounding a little on the bitter side she looked and Riley and gave a half-assed smile before motioning to take her books from him.
"Nothing." Angie answered too quickly and new it the moment she did it. But she also held onto the books in case he would let go.
It was an awkward moment where Angie didn't know what to say. "Just not feeling up to transfiguration right now. What about you? Shouldn't you be in class?" Changing the subject to a degree Angie barely noticed the fact that her wrist was exposed, a thick purple hand print showing, sweater rolled up while she was holding onto the stack.
