An early morning in June 1986, somewhere in Los Angeles -

It's still very early when Daniel steps out of the back seat of his mother's car, squinting against the sunrise and up, up, up at the building standing before them. He's never been inside a church before; he knows what they're for, though, which has him wondering, why are we here?

Aaaaaah, this is so awesome! You set the scene so perfectly; everything's so well-sketched and wonderfully visual. And Little!Dan's perspective is great -- wanting to hold onto Eloise for comfort but deciding to fidget instead, the mingled awe and fear. Can't wait to see where you go with this! :D

I'm... probably going to turn this into a series of some kind, detailing moments in Dan's life, pre-Island. I'm pretty sure I'll post this, once I have the second part finished, and then move on to some other little snapshots.

I still have to post that other thing, too~

But. YAY. So glad you liked it! It was kind of inspired by The Lost Symbol, so now you have another reason to read it. Sort of. XD

Wicked! Really looking forward to it ... Little!Dan's POV is so cool, and you do it so well.

See, that's the kind of stuff that would make me read it -- I love mythology and history, etc. And I did get through the entirety of The Da Vinci Code without throwing it across the room, soooo ... ;P
