Once upon a time, the Kingdom of Ispania was thriving. However, war broke out, and, long story short, the Kingdom had been destroyed.
Descendants of the royal family of Ispania survived the downfall of their kingdom. They swore to themselves that one day, their beloved Kingdom would rise again, and would thrive, just as it did before the wars that ripped Ispania apart.
Ten years passed. Fifty years passed. Hundreds of years passed, and Ispania was no closer to being the once-thriving city that it once was. Even so, the descendants of the royal family still swore that they would revive their kingdom.
In present day, a descendant of the royal family which once ruled Ispania, Vaughn Ardell Heurassein, lived as a noble with his wife in the grand country of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. Vaughn had grown up with stories passed down through his family about the once grand Kingdom of Ispania, which was destined to rise again eventually. Ever since he was a child, Vaughn, like his previous ancestors, was determined to make sure that the land of his ancestors would live once more.
Vaughn realized early on that this dream of his ancestors was, in no way, an easy task; and, like many others of human nature, he had his own life problems to deal with as well, which made it so that he couldn't dedicate nearly as much time as he could to reviving the Kingdom he wished to rule. One of his 'life problems' was that he and his wife, Elisia Madelyn Heurassein, were unable to have children of their own, no matter how much they tried. This disappointed the both of them greatly. However, they weren't completely closed to other options; this is what promted Vaughn one day to send a servant of his to retrieve an orphan child, so that he and Elisia would have a child to call their own. While Vaughn wanted a son, his desire to have a child led him to state no preference of gender when he gave the orders to his servant.
The servant was gone for many a day, but finally, she returned, with a beautiful baby girl wrapped in a blanket. She presented the child to Lady Elisia, who was ecstatic, and fawned over the tiny girl as much as possible. Vaughn approved of the child, quite ecstatic himself. And so, the two of them gave their new daughter a name: Estellise Sidos Heurassein.
Now that Lord Vaughn and Lady Elisia had a child of their own, they were determined to keep their Princess safe, at any and all costs. As Estellise grew, she became more and more adventurous, which caused her parents to worry that she might, just might get herself killed with one of her 'adventures', were she able to get out of the manor. So they kept her confined in the manor, fed her overactive imagination with books of fairytales, myths, and even some nonfiction. Estellise grew to enjoy the nonfiction books just as much as she enjoyed the fairytales and myths, always fascinated by the things she could learn about the world outside from the pages of a book. She was proud to state whatever facts she knew about something her parents were talking about, and they were always impressed with how knowlegeable their little girl had become.
At the age of eighteen, Estellise had become a beautiful young lady. She had become a cheerful, sweet girl, who still had that overactive imagination, and that tendency to recite dictionary definitions and facts she knew about this and that. She often expressed a desire to help the servants of the household with some of their chores, to which they said that they could never allow the young Lady of the manor do their chores for them. Overall, Estelle was a relatively happy, peaceful girl.
Even though she seemed happy, however, things were getting to be quite stressful for her. Her parents were getting into conflicts with other nobles; namely those who had heard of Lord Vaughn's desire to revive the Kingdom of Ispania. The conflicts not only stressed out the people involved, but the young daughter of those involved as well. This stress caused Estellise to delve even deeper into her books, trying to block out everything around her as much as she could and trying to keep up the cheerful personality she always seemed to have.
Even though she appeared to be happy, however, Estellise would often be caught staring longingly out her bedroom window ...
Her parents caught onto this, and decided she must have just needed a friend. So, they asked the fonist they were working with to spend some time with their daughter, just a little bit of time once or twice a week. The fonist reluctantly agreed, not being one who really enjoyed spending time with people in general.
This was how Estellise met Rita Mordio. At first, the two didn't get along very well, but then they realized they both had something that the other wanted. Estellise was a seventh fonist, and Rita wanted to study that. On the other hand, Rita had the freedom Estellise desired. They decided that Estellise would become a test subject for Rita; this way, Rita could get the study she wanted, while Estellise could get out of the manor every so often. Now the biggest obstacle was convincing her parents that this was a good idea.
While the parents were reluctant about it at first, after making a few promises and pulling a few strings, they were granted this time for study. Life went on, and the two girls became closer, despite not realizing it.
And then, Estellise met a man known as Raven Ecks. He'd been captured, and was a prisoner down in her family's dungeon. Estellise, curious, wandered down into the prison to see what was going on, and she began talking with Raven. Raven told her stories, and kept her entertained. She expressed her desire to see the world, as he had, and he said he could help her, if she could get him out of prison.
It took a little bit of thought, but Estellise decided that if she didn't take this opportunity now, she may never have another opportunity like this. So, she helped Raven out of prison, and the two of them started on a journey to see the world.
About this time is when Raven gave Estellise her nickname of 'Estelle.'
Estelle, who knew nothing of the world and nothing of how to navigate it, followed Raven around and trusted him to know what he was doing. The two soon arrived at Choral Castle, which Estelle had read about before. Naturally, the ghost stories she'd read had her frightened, but she and Raven went in anyway, along with two others who'd arrived at the same time; Philia Felice and Zelos Wilder. While there, the four of them encountered a sword dancer, which they defeated.
Aaaaand after that, they kinda got lost.
But then they ran into their next plot point: A girl named Rhea Scarlet, who requested help in avenging the deaths of her parents to ... you guessed it! A sword dancer. Estelle, who couldn't turn a blind eye to helping poor, innocent people, insisted that they help Rhea out. And they did. Afterward, Estelle, Rhea, and Raven returned to Daath, where they stayed for a little while, while Raven took care of a few things. Estelle met once more with Philia, and the two caught up. Later, the girls met again in the marketplace, along with a girl named Colette Brunel. The three became the diabeetus trio.
So Rhea was never heard from again after their trip to Daath. Raven said she'd gone on her own to find someone, and Estelle was worried, but she otherwise didn't question it. The quest to go to Chesedonia then began!
Fast forward through tons and tons of time walking to Chesedonia on foot, fighthing monsters, camping, lots of mud and dirt and icky things.
And once they were in Chesedonia, they overheard some sailors talking about how they threw some stowaways overboard. Estelle, who had OMG SO MUCH RESPECT FOR HUMAN LIVES, EVEN IF THEY WERE DOING SOMETHING WRONG TO BEGIN WITH, convinced Raven that they HAD to take a boat out to find those poor people. And the puppy dog eyes worked! They set out the next morning to find them, on Raven's suggestion; his logic was that if there were any survivors now, they'd still be finding ways to survive later.
Unfortunately, this is where her history for Melody of the Abyss Ends, for the most part. Estelle had one other log, with Yuri Lowell, where she was getting to know him after the rescue. Anything after that, however, either has yet to be played out, or may never be played out at all.
