45 minutes of cardio will more than likely be on the elliptical. it's much easier on my knees. =) plus I hate to run. I'm attmepting the 1000 because I usually (non dieting) consume 1500. - I'm 5'1" and weighing in at 115 currently.
I think the weight gain has to do witht the diet change. I'm going from being a vegiterian for the past 3 years, to introducing chicken meat into my diet in the past 9 months -which is when the weight started coming on.
What foods are you eating on the days you exercise?
i get all the exercise...but the human body doesn't work well with under 1200 cal intake. It goes into "starvation" mode and is more likely to "hold on to" EVERYTHING you put in and you end up burning muscle. Just trying to help. My doc friends yelled at me due to my lack of caloric intake
Please please please only cut out 500 calories a day and lose weight at a rate of 2lbs a week at the most. Seidrkoma is totally right about the "starvation" mode. Be careful sweets.
