I'm interested in everyone's experience -- were there long lines? how was the crowd? did people seem prepared or agitated? what's the mood like? etc. feel free to talk about your experience in the comments ( Read more... )

called in sick, went back to bed, got showered and hydrated...

And it wasn't until the 2nd screen with "Question 2" that it really seemed to matter what I did or didn't do.

i've never voted using a machine. i had the option this morning but i'm so distrustful of them, i couldn't do it ...

i wish i could have called in sick. work is worthless today. just a lot of silent phones and constant refreshing of my political blogs that have ZERO updates yet.

I miss the machines in New York with banks of little switches that you set to indicate your choice, then a big lever you pull to finalize/enter your vote.

Starting at 6:57. Not back to baltimore until 9. Still got my couch delivered.

It was nice. It was comradley. It was collegial. It was horribly disorganized and run by little old ladies. There were tons of first time voters. People brought their kids. Tyler brought me coffee.

James Carville is still Voldemort.

In and out in about two minutes. Around 6:00 PM this evening. There were about 12 machines, 8 of which were unoccupied and about a dozen poll workers milling around looking for something to do!
