The last day, we did yard work for this woman, and I was really glad that this was the last day, because I hate yardwork...:
The group and one of the neighbors.
She looks thrilled.
The ladies we worked for.
Before hitting the road, we went to the health spa to take a shower. The owners of the spa were members of Faith Baptist, and they allowed us to come in every night and use the showers, basketball court, and pool. It was nice to have a little time at the end of the day to relax.
Billy fell asleep, so we definently made it a group photo op.
Before we hit the road to go home, we stopped at Trinity to say goodbye to everyone there. This was by far one of the highlights of the trip for me.
Meet Emily:
When I walked inside, Emily was in what I thought was her father's arms. When she saw me, she put both of her arms out for me to hold her. The man just handed her to me, and I thought she was the cutest thing in the world. She put both of her hands of the side of my face and smiled. I told the man that his daughter was adorable, but he said that she wasn't his daughter...He was a foster parent, and Emily had come to live with him that morning. Her father is in jail for drugs, and her mother was recently put in jail as well because she tried to cash a FEMA check in Florida. If ever there was a child that pulled on my heartstrings it was this one. I didn't want to put her down. She's 18 months old, and she was so cute as she smiled at me and played with my necklace. I would have loved to take her home with me...She was definently one of the highlights of my trip.
So, that was my trip. I know there was a lot of pictures, but I hope you enjoyed them. Thanks again for keeping me in your hearts and prayers, I appreciated that a lot. Please continue to pray for those down there.
