Agreed. I met him back when he was still Governor of Texas, and already concluded about as much. Great guy to have a beer with, terrible guy to elect to public office.

I remember hearing once that the wrong Bush ran for president... apparently Jeb got all the brains in the family. Florida election shenanigans aside, he seems a lot more open-minded too.

That, and I'd never vote for anyone from Texas. There's just something in the water down there that makes them want to shoot first and ask questions later. LBJ was the same way (not to mention about the biggest racist we've ever had as president).
