Ugh, that must suck so bad...
I'm a complete goof when it comes to situations like that, but asking for a replacement until they can give you normal service you paid for, doesn't seem ridiculous at all. Especially when you're in the middle of evil deadlines and such...

Woah, I'm sorry to hear that. :(

I have a Dell XPS as well, refurbished even, and I have had nothing but ABSOLUTELY AWESOME help from them on all aspects. I've never called their tech support, though--I always use their online tech. chat. At the very least, you can't get hung up on using that. D:

They don't offer the live help chat to UK citizens for the XPS. It's lame :(

Whaaaat, why not? The tech people in the online chat are, you know... overseas for BOTH of us! (woohoo outsourcing!) It totally doesn't make sense that they wouldn't let you use the chat.
