Dear Yuletide Letter

Dear Lovely Person That Will Write My Yuletide,

First off, THANK YOU for being awesome! We're all busy this season but taking the time to write someone a fic about their favorite fandoms/characters/etc makes our days just a little bit brighter. I'm excited to write for someone and I hope you are excited to write for me! I promise not to be overly annoying in my requests and such, so don't worry - write me something on the fandoms/people that I'm into, and I'll be the happiest camper this holiday season. :)

A bit about the type of fic I like:
1) I like details. I like a lot of details, such as what color someone's shirt was on a specific day five years ago or the way someone's eyebrow arched in response to a question. I realize this might sound overly snobbish, but what it really comes down to is that I just enjoy well-written and specifically detailed fic. Especially if you can get into a character's head. I want to know what they're thinking, not just what they're saying!

2) I also like angst. I'm one of those people who thrives on sad and depressing things if they're well written. I mean, I like happy stuff too! Don't think you can't write me anything happy, because I don't want you to spend your time thinking of depressing death stories or something of that nature. I just really love when I can dig deep into a character's soul and rip their heart out and translate that into a good story. :)

3) I'm generally open to different scenarios/situations, as long as they make sense - which is to say I am totally for something like AU, or if you want to take a character in a different direction even if it's a period that has yet to be explored. Generally, if it falls into the realm of canon, I'm cool with it. (One note, I do draw the line at femslash. Not so much with the femslash. Unless you're writing ~specific~ slash that is not applicable here...but we won't get into that.)

And now - lists! (as a note, even though I list specific ships I am totally fine if you choose to pick one character out of those listed to focus on specifically especially if it's something that I mentioned [hint, hint.] Really, It's up to you how you want to write/what you want to write about.)

1.) REVOLUTION

Ships & Characters: Maggie, Rachel/Sebastian Monroe, Charlie, Miles
Details: Rachel is my favorite character by far, although for some reason she is not listed on the AO3 tag, so...I am not sure if that affects anything or not but feel free to throw her in just for kicks ;) Maggie is my second favorite, ergo, I will happily accept anything that has to do with them. For Maggie specifically, I'd love to see more of her past life. For Rachel, I'd be interested in her life before the blackout and her current captivity with Monroe. But, y'know, whatever floats your boat.

2.) NIKITA

Ships & Characters: Nikita/Michael, Birkhoff/Nikita, Amanda
Details: I'm generally good with any of the listed ships and characters...don't necessarily love more one than the other so writing on any or all of these people will make me happy. See? Told you I was easy!

3.) COMMUNITY

Ships & Characters: Annie/Jeff, Britta/Jeff, Britta/Troy
Details: Britta/Jeff is my OTP of this show, though I ship everyone listed above.

4.) MAD MEN

Ships & Characters: Joan/Don, Peggy/Don, Peggy/Joan (friendship only), Betty Draper, Betty/Don
Details: If you could dig up something for Joan/Don or Betty/Don that would be ace. I just really love Betty Draper and the women of this show, so I'd love to read anything you can come up with. Also a huge fan of Peggy/Joan but friendship only! No slash times!

If you're so inclined, you can take a look at my own fics and get a sense of my writing style by going to my specific fic journal here: http://full-of-synergy.livejournal.com/. And my master list of everything I've written/created is here: http://findthesea.livejournal.com/5453.html.

Once again, THANK YOU kind yuletide friend for taking the time to write for me! I hope you find something here that you'll enjoy writing about. And I can't wait to read what you come up with!

writing: fic, writing: yuletide
