Yuletide Letter 2013
Hello, hi, and yay, it's Yuletide time! I'm really excited to write about some of my favorite fandoms this year, and I hope you are too! I also tend to be pretty easy to please, as I love when people write about Things That I Am Into, so hopefully that helps make you feel a little more relaxed about this whole thing.

Random preferences/notes!:
I'm very into characterizations - I like details, and good dialogue. I love when a fic gets down and dirty into a character's mind and shows me what they're thinking, not just what they're doing. (To be more honest: I'm not a fan of stuff like "So-and-so went to the store. She bought a can of milk and put it in the cart. She looked for her wallet as her husband came up behind her. She smiled at him." MAKE ME FEEL FOR THESE CHARACTERS I LOVE AND AM READING ABOUT. :) If you're worried that you're being overly detailed or too intense...chances are, you're probably not, so don't fret! I'd rather a slow build that goes more into the character's mind than a hastily written action fic. This isn't a drabble, so surprise me with your feels for this fandom!
On a related note, I really like angst. I mean, I'm not saying you have to kill someone or put someone in danger, but angst/comfort/hurt is like my OTP3. Of course, anyone loves fluff, especially well written cute fluff, especially when it works - and I love kissing/married/adorable/dating/cuddling/happy ending type things that make me vomit rainbows so don't feel pressured that you have to write something super dark. Also, I'm pretty open about different kinds of tropes and such, but here be some of my favs: AU, period pieces, STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS, spies/assassins with dark pasts who are damaged people but love deeply, daddy issues, POVs, forgotten/mistaken identities, superpowers, female friendship/Bechtel test passing, teamwork, mama bear love, sisters, snark (I love snark!), people saving people, established relationships.
(Dislikes, for the record: femslash, torture/rape, incest, gore.)

(As a note, even though I list specific ships, I am totally fine if you choose to pick one character out of those listed to focus on especially if it follows anything that I've written above. I'll let you be the judge of the best way to tell the story of the fandom you choose to write for me!)
1.) IRON MAN: ARMORED ADVENTURES
Ships & Characters:
Tony/Pepper, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts
Details:
RESCUE!PEPPER. If you can write me Rescue!Pepper with a side of Tony helping her out and them fighting together and being adorable awesome teenage superheroes that would MAKE. MY. DAY. SO. MUCH.
Tony and Pepper, in all their forms and all senses of the Marvel verse (comics, movies, animated shows, etc) are my babies and my ultimate favorites. I have very, very large amounts of love for them, so I would really love a fic that focuses on their pairing in terms of teamwork, being established and adorable and snarky. I'm a big fan of teenage angst as well, if you wanted to throw that in.
If you write about one or the other individually, I'd prefer a POV type thing that's focused on one idea, issue or event. In Pepper's case, I'd love a Rescue!Pepper focus either during a mission or afterwards, and in Tony's case, anything that deals with angst or daddy issues would be a plus. I'm giving you a lot of options here. I'm also generally okay with whatever plot point you'd choose to focus on, so it can be an event that happened in canon time in the series or something completely made up that fits the confines of the story. As long as you include some or most of my character requests, I'll be really happy.
2.) REVOLUTION

Rachel/Bass, Rachel Matheson, Bass Monroe, Charlie Matheson
Details:
Rachel is my favorite character by far, and I'm entranced by her chemistry with Monroe even though the show has taken us in a totally different direction so far. For this, I'd like to request something from their pasts, if you choose to write about both of them or even just one - what were they really like before the blackout? What in their past might have contributed to the way they acted towards each other during the course of the first season? If you want to write about just Rachel, feel free to touch on anything that we've seen so far this season - her PTSD, her feelings on Charlie. Also, I’m big on the mama bear trope where Revolution is concerned so I’d love fic that centered around Charlie and Rachel’s angst filled relationship from the first season. You could even take it a step further and make up some non canon plotline given where the show is right now with them separated.
3.) CODE NAME VERITY

Julie Beaufort-Stuart, Maddie Brodatt
Details:
No slash - anything that you'd write for these two would be pure BFF WW2 lady spy friendship times. This is where AUs or random interludes would be helpful, or feel free to pretend the entire ending of the book didn't happen (sorry, I'm still hurting.) But really, anything angsty that focuses on the awesome, perfect friendship of these ladies with some wartime fun thrown in (because I'm big into that stuff.) Since you could go so many ways with random unseen stories or AUs, I'll leave it up to you to surprise me as opposed to trying to give you constraints. But I will propose the prompt of Maddie and Julie kicking ass and taking names together in some form of BAMFness - and the story ends up happy.
4.) THE AMERICANS

Philip/Elizabeth, Philip Jennings, Elizabeth Jennings
Details:
Philip/Elizabeth - oh, my tortured, tortured spy babies. I'd love to read something that picks up on where we left them at the end of the first season, still broken and wary of trusting each other but still very much needing each other and trying to find their way back to each other to protect their family. And since I love broken, tortured spy type people in general and find Elizabeth's character absolutely fascinating in terms of her trust issues and history, if you could get into her head, I would totally love you forever - especially if you could write on her feelings on her childhood and upbringing before she "married" Philip and came to America.
5.) ORPHAN BLACK
Ships & Characters:
Beth Childs, Cosima Neihaus, Sarah Manning, Sarah Manning/Paul Dierden
Details:
No slash, but feel free to take a clone of your choosing (whoever you feel the most comfortable with) and delve into her personality. For Beth, since we saw so little of her life, I'd LOVE for you to really take the reigns on what her lifestyle was like before she got killed, and you can throw in her relationship with Paul as a bonus. For Cosima, I'd like to see her being all studious - maybe a bit on what life was like for her before things went to hell (she still talked to the other clones, obviously, but it wasn't so high stakes.) For Sarah/Paul, angst is the way to go - they both have such complicated histories, and I'd happily take a whole "talking about our pasts/lives" thing whether it's revolving around something sexual or not. And this can be at any point in the series, either earlier or later. Also, anything on Sarah’s past if you wanted to do a single focused fic would be awesome.
5.) AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
Ships & Characters:
Melinda May, Maria Hill, Skye
Details:
Again - no slash. But here's a chance to write some strong female women ass kicking times, either as a group or individually. May's past with The Cavalry - how does that affect her today, and what was that like? I'd love to read about Maria Hill's adjustment to S.H.I.E.L.D. life after the Battle of New York. And Skye learning how to work for a team, and working closely with either Maria or May. All three of these characters are so unexplored that I'd love anything you write.
