well, actually, I think all bands like Sum 41, Blink 182, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte use the same chords in their songs. *laughs* the songs are all quite the same but they're fun. haha I will probably get killed for saying that.
but I know what you're coming from. Do you know the swedish band A*Teens? made covers of basically all ABBA songs a few years back. same kind of hysteria there that it seem to be around Simple Plan. And another swedish singer called Robyn, same thing with her. When Robyn started out she had this short blonde hair and a SILVER jacket. And she danced in a certain way. When she became big every single girl had that kind of jacket, that kind of hair, and danced and sang like her ;) well, I didn't. hee
but Avril is just...*pulls out hair* 'oh, i'm so punk and rock, not POP!' yeah right. pfft.

some of these bands sing in french, some both.. and others just sing in english. but you should definatly check those out. i'm sure you'll find something that you like. :) it's mostly ska, punk, a little bit of reggae, also folk-rock music :) those are mostly local bands from montreal, canada (if you have hard time finding songs, i recommend Win Mx and Kazaa for searching, and you can always try finding informations on those band with google :)
