do you ever realize that you've become one of things that you've always wanted to be?

*grin* I don't know how it was when you were growing up, but when I was little there were people that I really looked up to. Many of these guys were Boy Scouts. It was perhaps 2 years ago, when I was working at a summer camp I realized that to the kids at camp I was that accomplished scout to look up to. It was one of the neatest feelings in the world because it meant that in some respects I'd "gotten there." What did you always want to be?

P.S. Sorry about the Better than Ezra thing. I should have realized that it wasn't a very funny joke. I've got a friend whose name is Mat Good. At least once a day for the past several years at least, someone has asked him "Heard and Good jokes?" Poor guy just smiles and lets them have their fun. Anyway, sorry again, I didn't mean to put you off.

i've always wanted to be like the party of my mom that is open and explains things thoroughly and gets things done fast... and i've always wanted to be one of "those" people that seem magickal from the outside and are always doing things that suit them... um, that's a weird way of putting what i mean.... but its in words...typed... on lj... very removed from what i was feeling in response to yer question...
don't worry about the ezra thing.
