Fitzroyalty: "hyperlocal" community and conflict

I think you mean untrademarked.
It just came across to me as sour grapes that he couldn't trademark or register the name himself. Well, actually there is a way around that, but as he didn't actually contact a lawyer I'm not going to tell him how to do it. And even better, it doesn't prevent anyone else from using the word for anything they want, whilst still protecting the integrity of his website.
And I get the sense that he feels he isn't getting the recognition that he thinks he deserves, for his sterling work of creating and shaping the community of Fitzroy, essentially making it what it is today. After all, where would you be without him. Just north of Collingwood?
