Jim's ability is post-cognition; this means that by touching objects (and at some point maybe people) he will be able to see flashes, or specific moments in their history, depending on how he develops his power. This permissions post is preemptive, to cover that development. If - during a case, a meeting etc. - he's looking for something specific ( Read more... )

Name: Bruce Wayne | Batman

Canon: Your mother's diary- I mean. DC Comics.

Can Jim see any of your character's history if he touches them/their clothes? If so what?: Clothes- I don't think there's anything significant. At the most it would be Final Crisis things, which would be really awkward for Jim to see and brainbreak.y I'm always here so just ask me.

If they carry any objects with them of particular significance, can he touch them? What would Jim see?: NO SIGNIFICANT ITEMS. If he picks up a batarang or any of Bruce's weapons, he can totally see the latest battle he used the weapon in. Probably a couple of seconds, and distorted. Not very useful.

With regards of plot significant memories, will Jim be able to see what your characters have done recently? (i.e. in game): No leakage, I should think. Unless plot significant for there to be.

Does your character have a power - for example voiding, telepathy - that might impede or interfere with Jim's? If so what and how?: N/A. I think.

Other notes/questions/amendments? Something I ( ... )

Can Jim see any of your character's history if he touches them/their clothes? If so what?: Yes. Her with her sisters (not blood relatives--they run the Paper Sisters Detective Agency)--a bubbly voluptuous blonde and a hot-headed pink-haired teen--from sitting quietly reading books to fighting hordes of laser beam shooting robots. A grumpy Japanese author named Nenene (on whom Maggie has a ginormous crush). Lots of stuff about stopping a plot to brainwash the world. Ask if you need any further specifics.
If they carry any objects with them of particular significance, can he touch them? What would Jim see?: She almost always has a book on her in Japanese, by the aforementioned author. She also has a really cool GPS watch she never goes without. Same as above.
With regards of plot significant memories, will Jim be able to see what your characters have done recently? (i.e. in game): Sure. She's been involved recently in the Cyber Key plot and the Vulcanus/MAJESTY plot before that.

Name: Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto

Canon: X-Men: First Class

Can Jim see any of your character's history if he touches them/their clothes? If so what?: The only clothing that Erik has with any significance to it is his flight suit, which he... barely ever wears, and due to his pull point all that would be associated with it are images of seeing Hank in his blue form for the first time and being on a jet headed for Cuba before suddenly being pulled into the City. Things that have happened since arriving in the City are entirely possible, however.

If they carry any objects with them of particular significance, can he touch them? What would Jim see?: Erik carries a coin minted by the Third Reich, and Jim would be greeted by some very unhappy things if he happened to get a hold of it: Erik's mother being killed because he was unable to move the coin with his powers, possibly Erik being tortured by Sebastian Shaw in Auschwitz, and Erik killing Nazis and their collaborators during his hunt for Shaw in the years following the war.
