I know how everyone (our age) wants to be older. Old enough to drive, old enough to go to college, to live in dorms, to drink and not have a curfew. But does anyone other than me ever have random times in their life when they just want to be little again? I dunno, I'm in that mood tonight. Shruthi honey, you were cool then, you are cool now, and you will always be DAMN cool no matter what. Now I demand that you do stop beating yourself up because you are fantastic and do not deserve it.

I always would like to be little again. I still am in my head. I dislike growing and having responsibilities. It is my suspicion that everyone is still little in their heads and thinks just the same, but that most of them simply deny it because they think that not having a curfew and the drinking and all of those silly things will really make them happy and free, which is not necessarily true.

I think, though, that something truly good must certainly come of getting older, like getting wiser and learning more and seeing more and meeting more people (who may not always completely replace the old but will still be fantastic anyway), because otherwise, it would not happen.

I would like for summer to come as well. Not much longer, though! In my experience, the next few months always go by more quickly than I can keep up with.

No, I don't find myself wanting to be younger. I wish I was older, though. I've never really gotten along well with people my age, I can't find myself wanting to stay in touch and stay friends with people my age. I've always been the kid who go along with older kids - when I was in 4th grade, I was hanging out with 9th and 10th graders. And I don't want to be older so I can drink or have a curfew, I want to be older so I can do the same things that my older friends get to do (and live in the dorm rooms, because I hate living at home). Sometimes though, it would be nice to be younger and not deal with stuff, but you've just gotta deal, ya know? Plus, I liked to color on the walls, and I'd get yelled at.

I was never one of those kids. I was one of the kids who was friends with the kids who'd hang out with older people. That didn't ever work out too well for me, though, 'cuz they'd always go off and leave me. That wasn't ever much fun.
And I think dorms will be really fun to live in, despite the fact that I'll be homesick like crazy. But just for a while. Then I'll get used to it and never wanna come home.

p.s. i'm moving out when i'm a sophmore in college, i think. so i'll be living in boone in less than 5 years!

^yah i so took that from you. shruthi, you are amazing....trust me. this is such a good post, cuz i always feel like i wanna be little again. to tell ya the truth, i don't wanna grow up. I don't wanna drive, go to college, drink, etc. I like how I am now. But, what's so exciting about life if nothing changes?

i love being little.
and i wish i could be many times.
but them i wouldn't have the great friends i have now to share it with.
and that's why i want to be older.

as for summer, being cooler, etc., i like winter and you will never stop being cool.
if anything, your coolness has grown, and i never even see you!
imagine how cool you'd be if i did!
