they're cute and they kind of scare me. all those legs. i didn't anticipate them being quite so big.

I found myself here via Fawnnocandy's Livejournal and since I used to have my very own pair of hermit crabs which I smuggled to Canada from North Carolina I though I'd say hi.
They were named Joseph and Claudette but have long since died(((

that's so funny - pairs of hermit crabs just sort of have to be couples, don't they? i picture mine as the elderly sort who enjoy tiny games of badminton, perhaps gin and tonics in the evenings. i'd had them pegged as wheel of fortune watchers until i decided their names sounded more like aging socialites than bingo attendees. at any rate, my imagined life for them seems to be about 1,000,000+ times more interesting than their actual life, which consists of digging holes in the sand and sitting as still as possible for long periods of time.
