I often wonder what somebody like Bach would think if he heard some of the music written in the last half-century. Like, for instance, Maggot Brain by Funkadelic. For some reason I don't think Bach would enjoy it. Grieg might though.

Haphazard is a nice word... It suits me well, I think. Not only because of its meaning (characterized by lack of order or planning, by irregularity, or by randomness; determined by or dependent on chance; aimless), but also because if sounds like it would be a noun, but is actually an adjective, and thus does not fit in.
