lmao. We all knew deep down we were expecting too much to think that Seungri would play a bigger part in anything after proving himself with his mini.

/CALMLY WAITS FOR THEM TO GO TO JAPAN. At least Seungri gets actual parts in those songs.

well i think this is the worst offense, he literally has like no parts. there's a parenthesis in one line so it means someone is infiltrating his part and the how could you be so part doesn't seem very long so in reality he has like one line

MY GOD I FEEL LIKE I'M BACK IN 2006 FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

i think i'm especially angry cause of everything + the fact that gd is hogging like, everything. couldn't it at least be like gd, top, taeyang, daesung ft seungri if they really had to? why did it have to be gd featuring everyone else?

LMFAO

sigh.

i mean, i wouldn't really mind this as much, but can't there at least be like ONE title korean song that isn't gd/top/yb focused?

the only time i see the parts equally divided, and not skewed are in the japanese songs. because they have no choice.

From my limited knowledge of Jpop, Seungri's cute and sweet voice suits their taste the most when showing off swag like GD and Top's not something they're into. But, they're still the most famous members there.

On a happier note, I'm happy to see Seungri can balance out and embrace all members' parts (if he really does backing vocal). That means he really matures alot and grasps the whole of the song.

if you listen to all of bb's older songs, you'll hear his vocals has been used as backup all the time. idk, they say his voice ties the others' together so they do that.

which is cool, i guess.

yeah, but i don't know if that really has to do with him getting more parts. i think it's more like... he knows japanese. and well, i guess they do more slow songs there.

hmm... i'm sure he's matured, but i think he always seems to do backing vocal.

And in the middle of VIPS euphoria for BB Korean comeback, for me THIS IS THE REASON WHY I LOVE THEIR JAPAN PROMOTION!!

Well.. i guess I'll give it a replay a few times (mostly Baby's part btw) then I'm listening again to my VVIP >.>

not cameo, dear.

backup vocals.

like, backup. you know, the one they can just casually ignore when performing because hey, not that important. just singing back up.

ladidadida.

backing vocals sounds worse than cameo to me, so i'm going to stick with cameo. lmfao. because at least cameo is like, "oh, hey, surprise, i exist! okay, bye." meanwhile backup vocals is like. "hey, you over there. stand around to make me look good while the camera focuses in on me and i get all the credit for anything you do if you happen to do something amazing."

i know it takes skill to be a backup vocal. it does. but you know, there needs to be a time when you're the star, too, because, you know, he's part of the group, but maybe people forget. oh no.

oh look, your description of being the backup vocal fits seungri very well.

what a coincidence.

totally a coincidence. i totally was not implying that seungri was like that at all in big bang and that i am angry against the others for doing it all the time. of course not.

oh look at me being rational. oxygenlove April 6 2011, 18:18:54 UTC
Just...

okay.

If Jiyong gives him a line, and this line suits his voice well, then that's okay. I mean, I'd rather him sing one line that suits his voice than him sing a whole stanza that isn't for him.

oh. wait.

jiyong writes the songs. so he can definitely write longer parts for seungri.

well, maybe jiyong just thinks the song needs less of this and more of that and, y'know?

he's the producer, so he should know what he's doing. i mean, maybe if he adds more lines from seungri, the whole song would be off-balance? idk. like, the dynamics of the song will be lost?

that's what I rationalized out before, but i think this is just not cutting it for me. it's mostly because... there has never been a korean big bang title track where seungri is even close to being the focus like gd/top/taeyang usually is, and most of the time seungri is always shufti-ed. so if i were a taeyang or top fan, no, i would not give a crap how many lines they have in this (although... they still have more than seungri).

maybe that means gd is not a very good producer for seungri. or he just sacrifices seungri for big bang. which would be fine, except, it's becoming more to the point of adopting to gd's styles, plus i know gd can make a song that's more catered towards seungri.

also, just from past experience, i find that seungri replacing parts that gd and taeyang sings often work. but, you know, maybe not from this song, but i think my past suppressed anger just accumulated into this one... moment.
