I've been following this, and related stories, and the possibility that Ireland may officially cut ties with the Vatican and the special status of the papal nuncio as a result of all this...and, I hope they do.

I think it's momentous, I hope they do make that cut; doing so, I feel, can also help lead to long-term reunification of Ireland.
