well, just because this one had such long legs, it was easily the size of my palm.
My reaction to spiders depends greatly on its size and what it's doing. This one was really big, but it was just hanging out doing nothing until Bomber attacked it, so it didn't worry me at all. I guess basically the only factor my reaction depends on is if it's skittering around places. Although, when they hang out totally still in one place for long enough, I start to feel like maybe they're plotting something, and that's not good, either.

I had one that lived underneath my fridge, once.
I ended up chasing it across my apartment with a bottle of tea that I used as a club to bludgeon it to death.

I only saw one inside once, in a then-unused culinary classroom.
I was glad that I did not have to use that room.
My beneath-the-fridge spider liked to leap out and then just sit there for a moment, looking at me, then dart back beneath.
As I had to go to the 'fridge for things during the day, I did not approve of this behavior. Which lead to the bludgeoning.
