Limited Weekend, Chapter 1

“Gimme that.” Chad tackled Hotch to the couch and tried to grab his cell phone. “We just left him there an hour ago!”
“I just want to check!” Hotch tried to wiggle away from the other man’s grasp. “One call and I can spend the night with a clean conscience.”
“Fine. One three minute call.” Chad got up and started pulling off his clothes.

“What are you doing?”
“I’m just giving you some additional encouragement to keep the call short.”
Hotch dialled the number and waited.

“Morgan.”
“It’s me.”
“Is something wrong?”
“No, I just wanted to check everything is okay.”
“You just left the kid here an hour ago.”
“I know. So, is everything okay?”
“Yeah. Weird, but okay.”
“What do you mean Weird?”
“We’re watching the first Star Wars. You know how Reid can’t stop making those lectures and never stops.”
“Yeah.”
“Well…. He has finally found his target audience.”
“You mean….?”
“Yeah. It’s so unnatural it’s creepy.”
“Everything’s okay?”
“Besides the fact that I’ve been demoted to an afterthought, yes. We’re okay.”
“Great, we’ll pick him up in the morning. What time’s good for you?”
“After twelve, we’re gonna watch all three movies.”
“I thought there was six Star Wars movies.”
“The last three don’t count.”
“Anyway, I’ll see you tomorrow. Good night.”
“Good night.”

Hotch hung up and gave Chad an annoyed look. “That’s not fair.”
“It’s fair for me.” Chad grinned and tossed his boxers at Hotch`s direction. They landed on his head.
“You have any idea what it’s like to talk normally when you’re doing a striptease?”
“Yep. You want me to put my clothes back on?”
“Don’t you dare.”

---------------------------------------------------

“Usually, an asteroid field or belt is unlikely to be so densely packed with large objects, because collisions reduce large objects to rubble that then eventually aggregates into planetoids by mutual attraction. Such a densely packed field could exist if it is either young and transient or dominated by an external force.” Reid explained.

Jack stared at him with his mouth open.
“Really?”
“Yeah.” Reid shoved another handful of candy into his mouth and Jack did the same.

“Dare I ask what we’re talking about?” Morgan approached them carefully.
“That asteroid field of course. What did you think I was talking about?”
“No idea.” Morgan sat down on the couch. Reid and Jack were camping out on the floor in front of the TV and all the snacks were within their reaching distance.
“I explained the whole thing to you when we we’re flying to Wyoming.”
“Couple months ago, three teenage girls?”
“Yeah.”
“That explains it….”
“What?”
“I wondered why the flight felt so long.”

---------------------------------------------------

Chad looked at Hotch and grinned smugly. Hotch tried to catch his breath, but his body didn’t seem to co-operate. They hadn’t made it to the bedroom. Instead the two men were laying half naked on the second storey landing.

“When’s your birthday?”
“What?”
“Your birthday.”
“In July.”
“Good, because I know what I’m gonna get you.”
“I’m going to regret asking this….. What are you going to get me?”
“A leather jacket with NBB written on the back.”
“You mean NBK, Natural Born Killer.”
“No, NBB. Natural Born Bottom.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“You should.”

Hotch leaned his sweaty forehead against his partners chest.
“Now that we’re taking a breather…..” He still sounded slightly winded.
“Yeah?”
“I want to know something.”
“Shoot.”
“What did you blackmail Reid with?”
“I’ll tell you if you don’t tell Morgan about it.”
“I wont.”
“Remember that thing with finger-paints and vibrators?”
“How could I forget?”
“Anyway, Reid and I tried it once. And he hated it. Mostly because he had to spend rest of the day in the shower, scrubbing the paint off.”
“How’s that blackmail material?”
“I happen to know that Morgan suggested it to him, and he lied that he’s never tried that and it’s too scary.”
“I can’t believe Morgan bought that….”
“He doesn’t wanna believe Reid might have more experience than him. It’s all about ego. He believed it because he wanted to think of himself as he experienced man of the world, and Reid as an inexperienced, blushing, innocent genius.”

“And you exploited that to get us a babysitter.”
“Yep.”
“I must remember that….”
