Morgan tapped his fingers against the kitchen table and counted down from five hundred. Reid had gone to unpack his overnight bag to the laundry hamper, and Morgan had so far managed to keep his protests to himself. All the way from the hospital to the local police station, the whole flight back and the ride home. He was pretty sure he would burst soon.

“Okay, you want pizza?” Reid bounced down the stairs. “I don’t really feel like going to the store and-”
“What the hell were you thinking?!” The yell came out as soon as Morgan opened his mouth. He didn’t even realise how loud it was until he saw the shocked look on Reid’s face.

“We can order Chinese if you like that better.” Reid suggested carefully.
“I’m not talking about food! You could have killed yourself.”
“It was a little nick, it hardly even broke the skin.”
“If that guy had any better aim you would be dead.”
“Morgan, it could have been any one of us. I just happened to be at the backdoor when the guy tried to escape. I didn’t volunteer for that!”
“You didn’t volunteer for that but it happened to you. How the hell is it possible that it always happens to you? Bad karma? How can you get that amount of bad luck?”

“Speaking from the fundamental point of view, karma doesn’t-”
“I don’t care!”
“Why are you screaming?”
“Because every time something like this happens, you promise you’ll be careful and then it happens again!”
“It happens to you too, and I admit it’s scary and hope you’ll never end up in those situations, but in this kind of work they are unavoidable.”
“How can you be so calm about it?”
“Well…..” Reid thought about it for a minute. “We’ve both experienced a lot more serious injuries. I guess little scrape doesn’t really show up on the radar anymore.”

“Little scrape!” Morgan grabbed the fruit bowl from the table and crashed it to the floor. “You could be dead right now, I could still be in Atlanta trying to organise your trip back. In a coffin!”

Reid let out a long sigh. “You’re obviously not in a state of mind to talk about this. I’ll go get Clooney from the neighbours. I could use a little walk.”
“You’re not gonna walk out on me!”
“I’m not walking out on you, I’m giving you a time out. Calm down, get something to eat, I’ll be back.” Reid left without looking back.

Morgan grouched down to one knee and started to collect little pieces of glass.

When Reid finally came back with Clooney three hours later, Morgan was waiting in the living room. He had ordered Chinese and the food was now on two plates on the coffee table. Reid’s plate was stacked with his favourites and placed at the end of the table like a peace offering.

“How was your walk?”
“Peaceful.” Reid unhooked Clooney`s leash and guided him to the kitchen.
“Are you gonna come and eat?”
“I’ll feed Clooney first, we made a long walk.” He came back few minutes later and sat down in front of his plate. “Feeling better?”
“Feeling stupid.”
“You want to talk about it?”
“No, the more I talk about it, the more stupid it sounds. It’s different when you’re hurt. It’s not the same when it’s Hotch or Prentiss or somebody else. Don’t ask me why, it just is.” Morgan paused. “Are we good now?”

“Yeah.”
“Can we have we’re -alive-sex now?”
“How is that different from a normal sexual encounter?”
“Why do you always ask me that question?”
“Because you never explain it to me. I can understand the emotional mechanism behind it but-”

Morgan interrupted him with an abrupt kiss. He took Reid’s receptiveness as a sign of forgiveness and dived deeper with his tongue, pressing the genius against the couch cushions. Reid’s hand grabbed him and pulled him closer.

Morgan was ready to start ripping off excess clothes when Clooney’s barking interrupted them.
“Laundry room?”
“You handle it, I’ll meet you upstairs.”
After few more kisses Reid went to lock Clooney to his regular cubby-hole in the laundry room, and then went upstairs. Morgan was laying on the bed with a big smirk on his face. His fingers were buried deep inside him, and he briskly stretched himself.

“You’re fast.” Reid commented looking down at the scattered clothes on the floor.
“If I got a good reason. Right now I have a very good reason.”
“Really? What’s that?” Reid grinned. He pulled off his shirt and unbuttoned his pants.
“I want you inside me and I want you to proof my to me, my ass and the rest of me that you’re here and alive.”

Morgan reached to grabbed Reid’s hand and pulled him to the bed, leaping on top of the slighter body. He pulled Reid’s pants down, giving his cock a greeting squeeze.
“Babe….” He leaned down to kiss him. “We can do the mushy stuff later, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Because I want you to take me hard so that I can really feel you.”
“I know.” Reid shoved Morgan to his back and lifted his legs to his shoulders. Morgan wiped the leftover lube from his fingers to Reid’s cock, smearing it over the length of the shaft.
“Good enough for me. Get in.”

Reid pushed in all the way, and watched the look on Morgan’s face. It started as a mixture of sudden burning pain and pleasure. Very soon the pain disappeared and only the pleasure remained. He pulled Reid closer for a kiss, moaning warm breaths against his skin.

Morgan didn’t let go of Reid. His hands clutched tightly around the other man’s waist, keeping his smooth torso against Morgan’s. His cock rubbed against their bellies, making him explode between the two bodies. This got an amused look from Reid, who chuckled and shook his head. He continued his thrusts, finally coming inside Morgan’s welcoming body.

“Pre-pre-pretty boy….” Morgan gasped. He was still holding on the Reid’s slim frame, like he was worried he would disappear if he let go for a minute.

“I know.” Reid buried his face against Morgan’s shoulder.
