Morning Meeting Moving In/On “What are you doing?” Hotch tried to keep his voice steady.
“I’m going to hang a picture on the wall." Chad responded. "Any more questions?”
“On the bedroom wall?”
“Yeah.”
“Over the dresser?”
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
“Because all the bathroom walls are full. Why are you looking like that?”
“That painting….”
“What about it?”
“It’s…..”
“Yes?”
“Like a nightmare in picture form.”
“Are you trying to say you don’t like it?”
“Isn’t it obvious?”
“It is, but I’m trying to coach you away from the habit of telling everything wrapped up in cotton. Just say you don’t like it.”
“I don’t like it.”
“Good boy.”
“So you’re not going to hang it on the wall?”
Chad shrugged. “Your house.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t mean…. I mean… you live here too now.”
“Let me make a wild guess….. Your ex decorated the whole house.”
“How did you know?”
“You like to keep things the way they are, and you didn’t redo your bedroom until we got together. Some guys always adapt to the situation, in this case the surroundings.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?”
“That depends. Your guest room is like a Spartan torture chamber.”
“I know, I don’t like it either, but I’ve never really had time to think about redecorating. And it’s not really my area of expertise.”
“Me neither, but I like to put at least some marks on the walls that I’m the current partner, not your ex who haunts here like a ghost in a white sheet. Besides, picking up fabrics together could be fun for a change.” He paused and started laughing. “And that was probably the gay-est thing I’ve ever said.”
“You want to redecorate together?”
“Sounds like a total man-couple cliché, I know. But I’ve never done it before, so we’re both equal amateurs with the whole decorating thing. You wanna do it?”
“Sure. We could take Jack with us tomorrow. Go check out some stores and then eat out. Jack loves going to stores, or at least running through them.”
“And after that we could take him to try the bumper cars again.” Chad suggested.
“You just want an excuse to drive them yourself.”
“Yep.” Chad confirmed. “Speaking of decoration, I put one of my paintings to the living room.”
“When did you do that?”
“While you were trying to convince Jack to take his bath. I timed you, twentyseven minutes and you ended up soaking wet.”
“Which painting?”
“Go take a look.”
Hotch went downstairs and Chad followed. Above the fireplace was a large painting of a tranquil sea.
“That’s nice. Peaceful.”
“That’s what I thought.” Chad came closer pressing his front against the other man’s back and wrapped his arms around his waist. “You know….. That painting and I have something in common.”
“What?”
“We’re both well hung.”
“I walked right into that one, didn’t I?”
“Yeah.”

“Isn’t it weird?” Reid tossed another mouthful of chips into his mouth.
“What’s weird?” Morgan kept tapping the remote, jumping from channel to channel.
“How things turned out. Hotch and Chad, and Sean and Cain.”
“I guess when supposedly straight guys get curious, it’s like opening the floodgates.”
“Actually, I meant that it all happened so fast. You and I knew each other for years before you made the first move.”
“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t something before.”
“I know.” Reid gave him a little grin. “When we first started working together-”
“Do we have to go through this again? I was horrible to you, and I’m sorry. Can we move on now?”
“I wasn’t going to talk about that.”
“Really?”
“You know what was the first time I actually noticed that I liked you just a little bit? As a nice guy, potential friend and so on.”
“No idea.”
“Five months after I started. I had a cold and you came over to bring me soup.”
“Cold? You were like that chick in that movie…… whatever it was. The one Clooney was watching couple weeks ago. When he almost bit my arm off when I tried to switch the channel.”
“Camille?”
“Yeah, that one. I wasn’t sure if you were planning to do the big finale and cough your big brains out.”
“Anyway, I thought that maybe that guy isn’t such a big jerk after all. And I was right.”
Morgan looked slighty uncomfortable. “Babe, if I tell you something about that, will you hold it against me? In a non-sexual way?”
“You mean that it was Garcia who send you to bring me soup, and probably made some threats to get you going?”
“You knew?”
“Of course I did. You’re not exactly the soup-type, and Garcia had been nagging at you before about your behaviour towards me. It wasn’t really that hard to put all the pieces together.”
“Why didn’t you say it before?”
“I don’t know. It felt nice that you came, even thought the circumstances were what they were. And when we started to get along I didn’t think it was necessary to remind you about it.”
"That was really sweet." Morgan layed down to the couch, lifting his legs to the armrest and placing his head on Reid`s lap.
"I can be very sweet when I want to be." Reid smirked. "Switch the channel, the news are starting in three minutes."
