Reid knocked on the doorframe of Hotch`s office.
“Got a minute?”

“Sure, come in. Take a seat.”
“Thanks, I just wanted to talk about something.”
“About the case?”
“No, about Sunday. Have you planned something?”
“No. Should I?”
“No. He hates it, don’t even mention it.”
“Mention Sunday?”
“Yeah.”
“To whom?”
“Chad, of course. Who did you think I was talking about?”
“I’m not sure. What about Sunday?”

Reid gave him a long glance.
“You really didn’t remember.”
“I didn’t remember what?”
“Chad’s birthday.”
“I didn’t even know when it is.”
“That’s good. Forget I mentioned it and spend a normal Sunday.”
“Why?”
“He hates birthdays, birthday parties and the whole thing. Just forget the whole thing.”
“How can he hate birthdays? He’s not that old.”
“You don’t celebrate your birthdays.”
“I’m old, I don’t need to.” Hotch paused. “Exactly how old is he?”
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to tell….”
“He can’t be anywhere near my age, so say it. I feel like a dirty old man anyway.”

“What are we talking about?” Morgan walked in. “The locals called about the consultation, they want something preliminary before the actual profile. Small town, big panic.”

“Tell them we’ll contact them when we have something to give.” Hotch sighed. “We just started with this five hours ago.”

“Okay. So what were you talking about?”
“Nothing.” Reid stated quickly.
“Chad’s birthday, and I’m still waiting for an answer.” Hotch nailed his best interrogation glare on Reid. “You know it, so say it. How old is he?”

“I want to hear this too.” Morgan grabbed a chair next to Reid.
“It’s not my place to say!”
“Younger or older than me?”
“Younger.”
“How much younger?”
“Few years.”
“How much is few?”
“Fine.” Reid finally groaned. “He’s turning thirty-five.”
“Great. On top of everything else, he’s younger than me.”

“By few years.” Hotch commented. “If anyone should be upset, it should be me. There’s over a decade between us.”

“Now you know what it feels like.” Morgan smirked. “Any idea how many age gap jokes I’ve had to hear from Pretty Boy here?”
“That’s just teasing.” Reid blushed. “Like when I say you’re too old and tired for another round and-” He suddenly remember they were in front of their boss. “Second round of jogging. With Clooney. And then I’ll give him some dry kibble. To Clooney, not Morgan.”

---------------------------------------------------

“Hey, I need to talk about something.” Hotch walked into Chad’s office and closed the door. “Are you busy?”

“Yeah, but I’m glad to see you. I got something we need to talk about.” Chad leaned over his desk and handed him a brochure. “You got the weekend off, right? And your team’s not on call.”

“Right.” Hotch glanced at the brochure. “Spa Weekend?”
“They got this package for couples. Massages, Jacuzzis and the whole thing. What do you say?”
“Spa?”
“Yeah.”
“Sorry, I just never thought you were the type….”
“I just wanna have a relaxing weekend, far away from everything. You don’t have any plans, do you?”
“No-”
“Great, because I already booked it. Whole weekend of pure peace.” He leaned back in his chair and gave Hotch a leisurely smile. “So what did you wanna talk about?”

“I…. I wondered if you wanted to cook or just get some take-away on the way home?”
“You came all the way here to ask me that?”
“You`re in the same building.” Hotch shrugged. “And I needed some exercise.”

---------------------------------------------------

“Ready to go?” Reid shoved the rest of the case files into his messenger bag.

“Almost….” Morgan continued scanning a glossy brochure.
“What are you reading?”
“Hotch forgot this to the break room. You wanna take a little weekend trip?”
“This weekend?”
“Yeah, if I can get us a room.”
“What kind of a place is it?”
“Spa. Pools and steam rooms and that kinda stuff.” A wide smirk spread on Morgan’s face. “Remember that steam room in Vegas? It was a lot steamier when we got going…”

“I remember.” Reid blushed.
“So, we’re going?”
“Sounds good to me.”
“I’ll call Garcia, she can take care of Clooney. She just built a new doghouse.”
“Is she going to get a dog?”
“No, the doghouse is for Kevin.”
