David opened the door and tried to wipe the surprised look away from his face.
"Charlie?"
"Don`t look so surprised. I thought you agents were supposed to be prepared
all the time,or something like that."
"I think that was the Boy Scouts."
"Same thing. Can I come in?"
David moved to the side to let him in. "Yeah, sure. No offense, but what are you
doing here? I mean, you`ve never been to my place before."
"Well..." Charlie slumped down to the couch and took a comfortable position. "I though
maybe you would like to talk with me. Bounce ideas, and so on."
"Talk about what?"
"You and Edgerton, what else?"
David was too stunned to speak. He just stared at Charlie.
"David snap out of it, you look like your about to have a stroke or something."
"How... Who... Where..."
"How do I know about it?"
"Yes! I never told Colby who the guy was!"
"Your forgetting other factors. Last night after your little conversation, Colby told
me about your internal turmoil. Then today I ran into Megan who told me about
Edgerton being in town. I just put two and two together."
"Great, Colby promised he wouldn`t tell anyone."
Charlie grinned. "You have to be understanding. I have my ways to get it
out of him."
"I know. I`ve seen the pictures, remember?"
"I remember." A tiny smile appeared on Charlie`s face. "And I told Colby not to
keep those pictures on his cell phone. By the way, if you are suddenly so
interested in testing those waters with Edgerton, why didn`t you make a move
when we worked with him before?"
David decided to give up and sat down next to Charlie. "It never even crossed
my mind! Not before he actually said it out loud!"
"Okay, calm down. If you are actually considering it, then there`s no reason to
start bringing up old things. Just focus on whatever you are gonna do now."
"Your right. So..."
"So?"
"I didn`t dare to ask when I was talking to Colby..."
"What?"
"When you two are... doing it... which one of you is the...?"
"Who`s the lock and who`s the key? Train and the tunnel, chalk and the board,
drill and a wall, ninja and the geisha-"
"Stop that! It`s disturbing enough to hear you talking about sex even without
those metaphores."
"Sorry, I`m so used to explaining things through comparisons... Anyway, back
to your question. It really depends on the mood."
"So, you both..."
"Yeah. Just think about having sex with a woman. She`s there waiting to be
satisfied, the pressure is mounting... With a guy you can relax and let your
partner make you feel good. And next time you can pay him back. Simple
as that."
"I guess."
Suddenly Charlie started laughing uncontrollably, and no matter how evil looks
David shot to his direction, he couldn`t stop.
"Stop that!"
"I`m sorry, I was just thinking..." Laughter took over again and he waited till
the fit was over. "I was thinking... you as an innocent virgin, about to be
corrupted..." He started giggling again.
"Hey! I`m not a virgin!"
"When it comes to guys, you are. An untouched demure little flower." Charlie
started laughing once again and this time David had to laugh too. The thought
was just too funny.
"Whoooo..... I really needed that." David gasped when the laughing fit finally
subdued. "So, what is your big advice in-"
"In male on male proclivities? If you actually consider it, then try it. Just don`t-"
Charlie paused for a minute to consider his choice of words. "Just don`t expect
more than what Edgerton offered you. He`ll be gone in two weeks. Just have fun
as long as it lasts, and than move on to whatever you`ll move on to."
David sighed and looked at him. "I think your right."
"It`s Friday. You could call him."
"Yeah... I`ll think about it."
"Good" Charlie got up from the couch and headed to the door. "I`ll leave you
to it. Me and Colby have a dinner reservation."
"Hey Charlie?"
"What?"
"One more question."
"Okay."
"Why did you and Colby stay together? I mean after sex."
"Because he`s trained to follow commands?"
"Not very convincing..."
"Because I like him, okay? Is that good enough for you?"
"Yeah."
"Good." Charlie grinned. "And remember to tell me all the details."
He opened the door and left.
David sat on the couch for almost half an hour. Finally got up and grabbed
his cell phone from his pocket.

The next time David saw Charlie was at the office on Monday. To be exact, Charlie
was waiting at David`s workstation when he arrived in the morning.
"Charlie, nobody`s here yet, we don`t have a case yet. What are you doing here?"
"I gave Colby a ride and I thought I should wait for you."
"Where is Colby? And why did you want to wait for me?"
"He went to get his spare pants from his locker."
"Why? I thought he just got here."
"My watch got caught to his zipper when we were driving here, the seam just ripped."
"Forget I asked. Why did you wanna wait for me?"
"I wanted to know if you made any progress during the weekend on the
Edgerton front."
David nailed his eyes to his shoes. "I`m not gonna talk about it in the middle
of the office."
"You don`t need to." Charlie smirked. "You can`t look me in the eye, you try to avoid
talking about it, and you had trouble sitting down. You gave him a call, didn`t you?"
David could stop a smile invading his face.
"Okay... I`ll save the interrogation for another location. But before the rest of
the team gets here..."
"What?"
"Was it good?"
David was now grinning from ear to ear and couldn`t wipe it from his face,
no matter how he tried.
"I`ll take that as a `yes`. As much as I would love to say `I told you so` I`ll save
it for later. Megan`s gonna be pretty pissed if she founds out even you have
better luck finding man action than she does."
