“Morning.” Don yelled and walked into Charlie’s living room.
“Morning. And judging by the look on your face, it’s a very good morning.” Charlie
answered, lifting his eyes from the stack of exam papers in front of him on the
dining table.
“Yeah, it is. Is Granger still here?”
“No he had to run some errands before going to the office. I don’t have any
classes before afternoon.”
“Good, you got time for me?”
“Don’t I always? So… how was last night?”
“Very active.” Don grinned. “But I need to ask some more questions.”
“Shoot.”
“What does it mean when a one night stand suggests another meeting? I mean,
when I’m dealing with a chick, it means `don’t give her your real phone number`,
but what does it mean with a guy?”
“Did you suggest it?”
“No, he did.”
“Then it mean he wants to see you.”
“Is it really that simple?”
“With guys, yes. When a woman says something like that it means that she thinks
it could become serious. With a man it mean exactly what it sounds like. Men are
straightforward like that. What did you tell him?”
“I said yes.” Don paused. “We’re meeting for lunch.”
“When?”
“Today.”
“You’re working fast… Is it lunch or Lunch?”
“What’s the difference?”
“If you go for lunch it means a meal. If you go for Lunch, it means a quickie and
a hot dog on your way back.”
“I’m not sure which one it is.”
“Well, go and found out.”
“I’m going. But actually, I got another question. About you and Granger.”
“What about us?”
“When you two are…”
“Getting it on?”
“Yeah. Do you always… make the same casting choices?”
“I have no idea what you mean.”
“Do you always have the same… role?”
“Role? You mean top or bottom?”
“Yeah.”
“Most of the time, but sometimes it’s fun to switch it around.”
“So, you don’t always….?”
“Top? Why is it so hard to say? You’re a bit too old to be blushing about
that stuff.”
“Hey, for me this is new stuff.”
“True. So why are you asking about that?”
“Are all guys, you know… switchable?”
“I think the term would be `versatile`. And according to my experience, yes.
Most men are switchable. But usually everyone has a favorite position. For
example Colby-”
“I’m not sure I wanna hear this…”
“You should have seen him couple days ago when I put on my police uniform-”
“You got a police uniform?”
“Nightstick and all.”
“Tell me you didn’t…”
“What? Tell him to `bend over and spread `em`?” Charlie grinned. “He was like
a kid on a Christmas morning.”
“Why did I ask…” Don groaned.
“I would like to know that too. Are you thinking about your own role?”
“Yeah. When I was with Cooper, we tried both alternatives.”
“And?”
“And they both felt good.”
“So what’s the problem?”
“Last night I started thinking. Am I supposed to choose? I mean, can I be both?”
“Sure you can. When you had your first experiment with Cooper did one position
feel more natural than the other?”
“I cant remember! We were drunk and horny, and the next thing I knew I was
on my back with Cooper grunting on top of me.”
“And last night?”
“Both.” Don was blushing again. “And he didn’t mind switching.”
“There you see. It’s just a question of negotiation. And if you like both of them,
then what’s the problem? You have nothing to worry about, so relax.”
“You’re right.”
“Of course I am. And now, I have papers to grade and you have a work
to go to.”
“Yeah.”
“And you got lunch date. Does that mean I can abduct Colby from the office
for lunch?”
“That depends. Do you mean lunch or Lunch?”
Charlie laughed. “You’re learning. Now that we’re still on the topic… You
remember when you and Cooper were at the bar with Megan?”
“Before we…?”
“Yeah. I had asked Cooper to show Megan a good time, she seemed to
be little lonely.”
“What do you mean good time?”
“The same kind of good time he showed you.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yep. And yesterday you picked up Megan’s guy again. There’s two possible
explanations for this pattern.”
“What are they?”
“Either Megan has developed some incredible male repellent, or you’re
a lot sluttier than I thought.”
