”Well, at least we get to spend the night in an actual hotel, not in the plane.”
Reid commented when he entered the elevator with Morgan and J.J.

”Don`t get too excited.” J.J. grinned. ”That`s just because the locals wanted
us to be there tomorrow when they make the announcement about the arrest.”

”I don’t care about their reasons.  For once it`s a real hotel, not some dump
in the middle of Nothing.” Morgan let out a deep, sated sigh. “That doesn’t
happen too often, so I`m gonna enjoy it.”

The elevator dinged and they stepped out to the hallway.
“Okay, boys….” J.J. started digging the pile of key chains in her hand.
“Reid, you`re in 521, Morgan you`re in 527.” She handed them the keys and
offered them an apologetic smile. “I know, separate rooms, but I can’t help it.
It`s in the official guidelines.”

“It is?” Morgan looked sincerely surprised.
“It is.” Reid seconded. “Agents who have reached the SA status or higher,
don’t need to share accommodation, unless the circumstances dictate
otherwise.”
“That`s ridiculous. We could save them the price of a room.”
“We could simply stay in one room.” Reid smirked.

“I`ll pretend I didn’t hear that.” J.J. giggled. “Sneak in the night, I don’t care.
Just be discreet, the locals are still having a meeting in Hotch`s room. They`re
preparing the press conference tomorrow. And speaking of that, I need to be
there too, so you two can go and get some rest.” She grabbed her things and
headed back to the elevator.

“So, your room or mine?” Morgan smirked.

“Judging by the layout of the floor and the exterior formations of the building,
I think yours is bigger.”
“I know that, but what about the rooms?” Morgan chuckled.
“What do you-“ Reid blushed. “Oh. You meant… I was talking about the rooms.”

“I know.” Morgan grinned and guided Reid to the right door. “I was just teasing.”
“And Morgan….” Reid grabbed his bag and walked in. “That thing you said
about sizes?”
“Yeah?”
“You know that wasn`t true.” Reid leaped to the bathroom before Moran had
time to react.

“Pretty Boy! You actually said that without blushing, I`m impressed. I`ve really
had a good impact on you.”
“I`ll take a quick shower. Can you get us some food?” Reid yelled through
the door.

“Are you kidding? Room service and government pays the tab? I`ll eat their
entire pantry empty.”
“I can believe that.” Reid commented but his voice was drowned by the hum
of the shower.

Morgan set his bag on the bed and started pulling out his spare clothes. There
was a knock on the door and Morgan went to open it. Behind the door was a
familiar redhead, who had her badge clipped to her belt.

“Detective Bayle?”
“Agent Morgan?” She smirked. “We just finished our meeting with your superior,
and I thought I should drop by. Hotels can be so cold sometimes, especially
when you have to spend the night alone.”
“That`s considerate, but I`m not alone.”

“Of course the team can be supportive but after a rough case I always want to
rewind a little bit.” She pushed herself past Morgan and took a look around. “Nice
room.”
“Thanks. Do you mind if I`m totally frank with you?”
“Please do.”
“According to my experiences I`m sure I know why you`re here.”
“Good, because I`ve made it pretty obvious.” Detective Bayle grinned and sat down
on the bed, leaning back against her elbows.
“Anyway, it`s not gonna happen. So thanks, but no thanks.”

“Don’t be like that. Or do you have somebody back home?”
“I have somebody back home, and I have somebody right here.”
Bayle thought about it for a minute and looked like she was mentally going thought
the list of Morgan`s team members. “I just saw that blond, and she was heading to
her own room, so probably not her. That brunet?”
“Prentiss. And no, not her.”
“Then who`s left?” Bayle looked puzzled.

“Is the food here already?” Reid came out of the bathroom, one towel wrapped
around his waist and another one in his hands. He was drying his hair and didn’t
even notice their visitor.
“And can you lend me a clean shirt? I only had one with me and I spilled some-“
He pulled the towel off his head and spotted Bayle. “-coffee on it.”

Reid stared at Bayle and Bayle stared at him. Finally Bayle got up from the bed  and
walked to the door. “Like I just said, the press conference is at ten, so you`ll have
a lot of  time to rest. Good night.” She escaped to the hallway as soon as she could
while Reid was still staring at her.

“She came here to talk about the press conference?” Reid asked.
“Believe me, you don’t wanna know.”
“You mean she was….”
“Yep. Maybe I should have sent her to Rossi.”
“You were right, I don’t want to know. What about food?”

“I didn’t call room service yet.” Morgan grabbed the menu from the bedside table.
“Or do you wanna start with the dessert?”

“Morgan, we`ve been up since three in the morning, and my diet has consisted
of coffee and stale doughnuts. You`re not getting any dessert until I`m fed.”

“Is that the way to your heart?” Morgan grinned. “Start from the stomach and
work your way down?”
“We can get back to that when my stomach isn’t screaming.”
