well, sort of. we watched Dances With Wolves in the theater with my mom one new year's day, and she was so convinced that the lakota were going to be slaughtered that she was bawling and couldn't take it anymore and had to leave. it took a while for her to see the actual end.

They don't do popcorn right in this country. They either sell it sugary or salty. It should just be buttered like whoa. <---FUCK YEAH. AND EVEN MORE BUTTER. fortunately, they do it right here. i always ask for extra butter and then even more butter than thought possible.

once or twice a year. i live within maybe 200 yards of a theater, too. i am not exaggerating. short attention span. oh well.

comedy. i am an escapist, i guess. i love good, complex movies that make me think or feel really strongly, but they really drain me. so most of what i own is action and comedy (oh man i love stand-up in particular). funnily enough, i don't read much fiction - perhaps i am only a selective escapist. or maybe i don't have the patience for frothy fiction or the energy for heavy fiction...
