The greatest legend of all was real… the tagline of my favourite film ever, Oliver Stone’s Alexander. On 5th January 2005, it marched into my life straight in at Number One, knocking Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid off the spot it had held for thirty-five years. So much about it to love… the breathtaking accuracy, the vibrant scenes - Macedon,

As you say that it was impossible to show everything in three, four hours. That is why I wish Oliver Stone would make it to a TV series. I know it is not a big screen, but it is amazing to see what they can do with TV nowadays.
Congratulations on your fist post!

And I mean your way of it, less Bagoas and more Hephaistion:)
Let's hope that they would make it sometime in near future. Then, my mind races, who would play Alexander and Hephaistion? It's a kind of scary, isn't it?

But like Jun said, I think we would know and understand Alexander much better if there were a TV show, like The Tudors (Which mostly sucks in regards of costume making, but oh well, it's pretty much accurate when it comes to historics), I am curious as to what they would make with a TV show :3 Maybe a little more explicit than the movie, explaining exactly what was going on between Alexander and Hephaistion (The hint was thrown during the whole movie, but when it ended, I still felt something was missing...), giving us more detail about how things were back then and all thad D:
I really am curious as to what it would be like :3

Never saw Rome either, but the idea of seeing it from different points of view is interesting D:

This movie re-awakened my Alexander interest and then I got into the whole reading fanfiction thing, reading related books and communicating with people with same interests worldwide. Magnificent thing if you ask me. I am greatfull for that, since I met many lovely people. The film imo, was made with great love even though the critics tore it apart esp. in the USA. But who cares what they thought?
I do agree with Jun that a Series would be even better. Plus we would get more screen time for our boys :)

The critics were infuriating, because so many of their comments were so superficial. But I think it's great that so many people have the courage of their convictions, and will say how much they loved it, no matter what the crtics said.

I am sure that Alexander and Hephaestion are smiling in the Elysean Camps, seeing as we keep their flame on!!
