*sigh* There was this lovely song being used for a Sherlock fanvid and I was all excited and made a Pandora channel for the artist and when the song came up again I was devastated to see that it was actually on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack because now I can't possibly listen to it without thinking of sparkly emo vampires instead of unglitered emo ( Read more... )

I've had that happen before. The thing to realize is the composer could have done his work without caring at all about the stuff it would be paired with, and thus created something awesome that is unique. Like someone told him, "We need dramatic music that's at least 5 minutes long!" and he just did it without thinking anything beyond "Dramatic!"

Or, like me, you can pretend this is what happens every time you hear awesome music that comes from a crap movie. :P

Sherlock/Twilight crossover fic? REALLY? ... well, I suppose if anything could get me to consider liking Twilight...
