I KNOW! M and I were watching and we were both taken aback with the *wait a minute, what the hell* moment that caused. We had to rewind and watch that waking up on the sofa scene again.
I know nearly every fandom has at least one fic that explores the whole, what if character A is actually just mental and it's not happening trope but this might be the shiniest.
