Aberdeen to london return, 4 months in advance price = £281.00, almost £300 to get to london??!

Super Off Peak Return is £123.50 - not very flexible, but then neither are Advance tickets. Not saying it's cheap, but it's a lot less than £281!

Impossible to comment sensibly on that without knowing exactly when you need to go, but assuming it's not Christmas Eve or something (in which case you're going to be a bit stuck) and that you can be a bit flexible on times, why not get a Super Off Peak Return - £123.50?

It's a 1085 mile trip, what do you expect in rip-off Britain?
30p a mile is actually good value, compared to a lot of fares!
