The USS Peleliu is an LHA and the Iwo Gima is an LHD. Neither one of them are "Aircraft Carriers", nor do they have "Task Forces". They are PART of a task force that IS headed by an actual Aircraft Carrier (CVN). They carry SOME aircraft, but are soooo NOT classified in the same league as a CVN...

Soo.... nothing to see here folks? CVN72 is on station, along with a full contingent. Two smaller groups are present/coming. Pleliu may not be CVN, but it comes with:

USS Peleliu (LHA 5)
USS Dubuque (LPD 8)
USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52)
USS Cape St. George (CG 71)
USS Benfold (DDG 65)
USS Halsey (DDG 97)

CVN 71 & 76 may be on the way. Both Russia and China have large forces in the region. We have already declared the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. These bills would give broader support for acts of war against Iran. I can't see how this isn't getting damn close to the Gulf of Tonkin.

All I am saying, is that they are trying to make it out to be MORE than what it is by telling outright lies.

Yes, it is pretty serious having all those ships there. But, they are trying to make it out to be even worse than it really is by telling lies. What is the difference between these lies, and the current admins lies? All it tells ME is that they will both lie to get their agenda's pushed.

lol, besides the USS Roosevelt sucks... ;-)
