I've heard some pretty lame excuses for blowing off a furmeet, but appendicitis? Come on. That's just over the top. Unless you bring your shrivled up appendix to the next meet, we're just not gonna believe you! :)

Good to hear you're on the mend. Sounds like the appendectomy was done in the current style, so your scars will be minimal. Keep your wounds clean so you don't get infected.

2 weekends ago (my 50th B-day) I passed a small kidney stone. I had one a few years back and was scared that _that_ was my appendix turning into a fun balloon animal.. but not so. The pain is similar, I believe.

Well Happy belated Birthday and sorry to see you had to spend it the way you did. I haven't had one but the pain was to the right of the belly button and down a little.

Thankfully when I went in to the ER I was in the early stages of appendicitis so the fun balloon animal was just starting.
