Photoshop!

Weee!! So I have finally gotten around to doing some Photoshop tutorials. Now I actually know how to use some of the tools! Hooray (*everyone rolls eyes*). Anywho...this is my first attempt at creating something other than icons, or a randomly altered picture. Please tell me what you think.

I would be able to critique it more if it was bigger. You saved the photoshop file, yes? You should open it up and then save it as a .jpeg because .png (which you saved it as) creates bigger files or whatnot and photobucket likes to resize A LOT.

From what I can tell your star field doesn't look so bad. And I can't really tell with the planets yet because they are small and I can't see the details.

yes... photobucket just lovvvves to resize pngs. That's because they store a lot more data per pixel than jpgs do. Jpgs are websafe and useful! pngs are not...
