*squeal* So full of love for this. I love the way you describe Zero as such a majestic figure on first sight, even when he's konked on the head. That takes a special kind of awesome dignity. XD

And- of course X would be FAAAASCINATED by Zero. Who wouldn't be? Especially when you think 'gee, I'm the only machine of my kind in the world', and you suddenly find out you're not?

Finally, I really love it where X sheds tears for even the only-temporarily-alive early Reploids. That's so like him. *melt*

Man, I can't believe I missed this fic.

This really highlights Zero's true nature - Mavericks are, by nature, defects of some sort. Zero isn't, because he was made to be that way, deliberately twisted into a killer. Which, really, is a million times more scary if you think about it.

I have to admit that some part of this disquiet me - like how some of the early reploids splutter and die after only a few moments. Since reploids are genuine living beings, that's almost ... cruel. It makes me wonder how X would feel, to go through trial-and-error with creating life.

Also about the part where he thinks his thought patterns are erratic - is he thinking so mechanically because he's young?

Still, I heart the scene where they see Zero. I can imagine Wily being so very proud of everyone being in awe of Zero's sexiness. XD
