I'm not a fan of shounen ai and I had to stop for a moment when I got to that part... But I enjoyed reading this. It's written beautifully. I haven't read fanfiction in a LONG time because I stopped reading it and writing it a few years ago. But now I feel like reading some more...
Not many writers deal with the tension between X and Zero during Eurasia, and you wrote the love and the guilt and the dread so WELL. Zero was loving and yet terrifying in this, and it was a great show of Maverick Zero. Nice to see him having a reason for being crazy, rather than being a random psycho, and still loving X at the same time.
I know it's a drabble, but I'd love to see a follow up to this. I'd like to see them resolve all these tensions and issues.
Wow, thank you! I really appreciate your feedback.
X5 is definitely the most emotional and inspirational game for me. I can't help but think that driving a wedge between X and Zero was part of Sigma's master plan.
My boyfriend played X-X3 on the SNES when he was young, so I picked up the X Collection for him as a gift and we played it for hours on end.
I fell in love with the series immediately. Not only is it ridiculously fun to pick up and play, but the universe it creates is just so full of tragedy, romance, desire for justice - it sucks you in. The friendship between X and Zero was and will always be the biggest attraction for me. It's . . . hard for me to accurately describe why I love them so much, which is why I pour that love into fics instead. I know that individually each character is wonderful, but as a duo they are just so much more.
i loved it! I've always loved X and Zero and never read a fic about their friendship like this. The shounen ai part was so cute too. :D have you written more??
Goodness! Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. XD
Believe me, I've spilled quite a bit of ink over those two robots. I invite you to check out the rest here - they are mostly Zero/X, but there is a Zero/Iris and even an X/Axl in there as well.

You said you only got into MMX recently - if I may ask, what got you into it?
