I love food. I love to cook it, eat it, and prepare it for other people. I can really let myself spend way too much money on groceries and lately, well, I don't have that much to work with. So I pose to you a question: What are your favorite thrifty recipies? Anything goes, just throw out there your weekly faves that don't cost too much to make.

I am up way later than I should be. I just want to make a DVD of my signing stuff for the week! I don't really know that much about how this all works, but I know I'm damn frustrated. Hello all!
We have exciting news~ We adopted a 4 year old German Shorthair pointer from Last Hope rescue yesterday. Her name is Josephine and she is 4 years old. It will be an adjustment going from old Mr. Emmett dog to this larger, more energetic, but super sweet puppy. We are already in love!

Does anyone else love the show Dexter? I love it. No, I heart it (whatever that means.) Liz just wrote an awesome blog about it on her site.

It is rather disturbing that children watch the show and I'm quite glad I don't have any to shield from the potential ramifications of it.... but damn, that's a good show.

Kingston needs to go to the vet for ear mites, so I took the afternoon off to get him there. I came home around 12:30, went to the gym, caught up with my Scrabulous games-- I have 14 going right now-- and am leaving in a few minutes to get to the vet on time.  I have lots of things I could be doing, for sure. So, I made a new hat. It's awfully cute. I wanted to use up the green, black and white yarn I have from previous projects, so I adapted this pattern from a sweater I saw in a book. I still have quite a bit of green and white leftover! My next project is to do a real fair-isle hat with lots of colors, not just 3, and small stripes of patterns.
